The blind-spot monitor will “monitor” the area around the vehicle’s blind spots and warns the driver when traffic is approaching or traveling in this space. When the system detects another car in the blind spot, the driver is provided with visual and audio warnings. Some systems include haptic alerts as well. One of the most common notifications is a small indicator light on the outside mirrors.
