Time of Flight (ToF) cameras measure the actual “time-of-flight” of a light signal between the camera and object. The emitted infrared light hits the object, and the time it takes to return is measured.
In automotive applications, ToF is used to detect driver alertness by monitoring gesture control and gaze.
